Clermont Elementary has seen recent lice activity in several classrooms. While current guidelines do not require students with lice to stay home, we want to keep families informed so you can take quick and effective action.
Nits (lice eggs) are tiny, white, and attach firmly near the scalp. The most important step in preventing spread is thorough daily removal using a metal lice comb—shampoos alone are not enough.
If lice or nits are found, comb hair carefully each day for 14 days, check all family members, and wash clothing, bedding, and soft items in hot water. Items that can’t be washed should be sealed for two weeks.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school community healthy!

Lice Notification and Prevention
***************************************
