Help Send Team Eagle to the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals 🌎

3/27/2026 8:23 am

We are incredibly proud of Team Eagle (Grades 3 & 4) from Clermont Elementary School for their outstanding achievements this season!

After months of dedication, creativity, and teamwork, the team earned:

  • 🥇 1st Place at Regionals

  • 🥈 2nd Place at the Virginia State Tournament

Because of their impressive performance, they have been invited to compete at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals, taking place May 27–30, 2026, at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa—an exciting and well-deserved opportunity!

Why This Matters

Odyssey of the Mind challenges students to think outside the box, solve complex problems, and work collaboratively in creative and innovative ways. Team Eagle has been preparing since October, and this achievement reflects their hard work, perseverance, and imagination.

✨ This marks the first time this team is advancing to the World Finals—and they are building on an exciting tradition, following in the footsteps of last year’s Clermont 6th grade team, who also advanced to Worlds!

How You Can Support Team Eagle

Traveling to World Finals comes with significant expenses, including transportation, lodging, and competition fees. We are asking our community to rally behind these students and help make this unforgettable experience possible.

💙 Every donation—no matter the size—brings us one step closer to our goal.

What to do if someone in your family has head lice

3/18/2026 7:25 pm

Clermont Elementary has seen recent lice activity in several classrooms. While current guidelines do not require students with lice to stay home, we want to keep families informed so you can take quick and effective action.

Nits (lice eggs) are tiny, white, and attach firmly near the scalp. The most important step in preventing spread is thorough daily removal using a metal lice comb—shampoos alone are not enough.

If lice or nits are found, comb hair carefully each day for 14 days, check all family members, and wash clothing, bedding, and soft items in hot water. Items that can’t be washed should be sealed for two weeks.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school community healthy!

Lice Notification and Prevention

***************************************
