In 2008, the PTA established the Miss Mac Award in memory of kindergarten aide Ashley McIntosh. The award recognizes a Clermont staff member who exemplifies the values Miss McIntosh brought to her teaching:
- Creating an environment where all children are encouraged to learn and express themselves in a safe, nurturing, and fun atmosphere
- Embracing a positive outlook on life and helping build confidence and self esteem
- Going above and beyond basic duties
- Demonstrating a genuine enthusiasm for the school environment

All Clermont teachers and staff who have not won in the last 7 years are eligible for this award, which will be presented during the Awards Assembly at the end of the year. The award includes $500.00 to be spent as the recipient chooses, and the recipient’s name will be added to the wall plaque located in the Clermont lobby. Even if your teacher won in the last 7 years, all nominations are provided to them for their reading pleasure, so feel free to nominate no matter what!
