Volunteers Needed

We heard from many of you during the end-of-year survey on events and initiatives that you'd like to see return for the 2023-2024 school year. The PTA Board would love to support these ideas, but we need committee chairs to lead the charge on each of the events! Unfortunately without a chair, we will not be able to bring these events back for this school year. If you are willing to chair any of the below initiatives, please email president@clermontpta.org.

• International Festival: Event to take place in January or March. Event took place at Clermont prior to 2020 and some materials from the previous events can be provided to the new chair. The event can also be re-imagined!
• Math Nights: Events to take place in October, January, and April; each event targets a different grade level. Materials and activities for Grades 1 and 2 have been created already and can be reused for this year. Grades K, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will need to be created from scratch.
• Spelling Bee: Event takes place in February. Specific guidelines are provided on how to organize the event and information from last year's Bee will be provided to the new chair.
• Science Festival: New Clermont initiative to be hosted in February or May.
• Learning Garden: Do you have a green thumb? If so, we need someone to lead the charge on growing and maintaining the learning garden to help our children learn about the life cycle and food growth! This chair maintains supplies and works with the teachers to ensure that what is grown supports their lessons.
• Odyssey of the Mind: This chair will help recruit coaches and provide guidance to the coaches throughout the year on the program. The final competition typically takes place in March.
